ABOUT US
Build Green is an initiative implemented by Cluj IT which aims to contribute to the transition of the Romanian economy and society towards a more sustainable, greener and resilient future by building operational capacities for a nationally relevant business ecosystem, centered around the concept of Green Innovation.
Through this project a vertical network within the cluster’s ecosystem will be build, “The Green innovation Network”, which will bring together relevant actors from business as well as stakeholders from academia and administration, in order to drive on long-term the adoption of green innovation, through specific measures such as competence and technology transfer as well as public policies.

INCEPTION MEETING
26th of September 2023, Cluj-Napoca
The inception meeting convened over 15 experts from the private and academic sectors to discuss about the future perspective of the society in the green digital transformation process. The meeting served as a pivotal point for initiating collaborative efforts towards fostering sustainability, innovation, and resilience within the Romanian economy and society. As an overarching goal Cluj IT purpose is to contribute to the transformation of the Romanian economic landscape into a more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and resilient future.
Ecosystem Mapping
Gap Analysis
The present report aims to analyze and show how green digitization looks in Romania. It contains the analysis methodology, the ideal state of how the digitization of the Romanian economy should be.
The working methodology relies on data collection by distributing questionnaires to relevant organizations, comparing the current situation with the ideal one, identifying gaps in terms of resources, knowledge, and technology, and formulating recommendations based on SWOT analysis and feedback received from stakeholders.
